CHECK OUT TIME

Nelly Furtado taught me that all good things come to an end, and the Rolling Stones taught me that I can’t always get what I want. Right now, I want to stay at this hotel for another week, but unfortunately, check out is at noon.20130520-105430.jpg

This weekend has been so nice, and not just because I have stayed in a hotel. On Saturday we went to the movies and saw Fast & Furious 6 (exactly what this summer will be like now that I have my licence), before meeting up with Emily and Sunshine for dinner at Sticky Fingers; my family’s favourite restaurant. We stayed there quite late, doing shots and chatting and trying to recover from the huge dinner portions, before me, Christian, Sunshine and Emily decided to head out to a club across the street from our hotel; Carbon. My dad and Christian’s were supposed to come out with us, but they left us for the hotel bar. It was still such a good night, ending with me and Christian riding a bike cab up and down Oxford Street at 3am.

Today we are heading to the cinema (again), ‘we’ being me, Christian, my brother and his girlfriend. Today we are seeing 21 & Over, which looks hilarious.

The family all leave today, and tomorrow I am off to Wales! Hope everyone else has had a good weekend too!

Norway in red, white and blue

So I am now sitting on the most comfortable hotel bed ever, for some reason me and Christian got upgraded to an executive room, after celebrating the 17th of May in Southwark Park with none other than the Princess of Norway. I am about to jump in the hotel bath tub with a copy of the 4th Game of Thrones book, and afterwards I am bringing my Norwegian flag to Victoria Station to greet the urban city breakers as they get of the train.

Sunshine took loads of photos of the celebration today, and I made her send them all to me so I can share them with you! Hope you have had a good 17th May!

The only thing missing today was my National Costume.

17. mai

I’m sitting here waving my Norwegian flag drinking a huge glass of champagne waiting for Sunshine to get ready and Emily to get here so we can celebrate Norway’s National Day! I have handed in my last piece of Coursework, and so has Emily, and now I am so excited!

The celebration in London is in Southwark park, with Lambertseter Marching Band is leading the parade and Princess Märtha-Louise of Norway is the main speaker! I am so excited, and if you happen to be in London today, you should definately head down there.

After the celebrations, I am heading to the Thistle to have a relaxing bath in a hotel bath tub, and of course to wait for my family and friends who are arriving in Londontown tonight. Happy day, happy life :)

This is the the coolest photo of me in my national costume.

Happy Norway day everyone / Gratulerer med dagen!

I’m a lawyer, let’s assume I am right.

When I have a lot of work to do for school, I spend time tweeting about my #LawSchoolProblems and looking through sites like You Know You’re A Law Student When.. I’m sure those of you who aren’t law students found my previous post hilarious not, so this one is for you too! All photos found on Pinterest.

Just saying, but once I have this degree it will be the only argument I need.

Country Sweetheart

Ever since going to the US last year I have been obsessed with country music and all that comes with it. I bought my pair of Cowboy boots on that trip, and heard of Luke Bryan for the first time. My Pinterest board called Country Sweetheart is overflowing, and I thought I would share some of the photos from it with you!

AAAH, I can’t wait to move to the US, and below the Mason-Dixon Line as well! I swear it is going to be JUST like on Hart of Dixie Here are some of my favourite country songs at the moment to get you feeling it.

Florida Georgia Line – Get your shine on, and Gloriana – Can’t shake you.

Final sprint

As you have probably guessed fromt the lack of updates; I am back in the library. The Law Project is handed in, and now I’ve got 2 more essays to finish and hand in next week. The only problem is that one of them makes no sense..

Once they are handed in, my (extended) family arrives, and we are spending a weekend at the Thistle in Marble Arch. I want to call it my favourite hotel, but really it’s the only hotel I’ve actually stayed in more than once. Either way, since my Norwegian visitors aren’t arriving until quite late, I will be checking in as soon as I can, just so I can have a bath in the hotel bathroom, and read a book on a hotel bed, and in general have the room to myself before Christian checks in. There’s is nothing better. And let’s not forget the hotel breakfast!

The day after my family leave I am heading to Wales to visit my friends from when I used to live there. I am well excited, and can’t wait to see them! I have a bad feeling it will be years until next time, considering I am leaving the country next month.
